Sorry all

Ok so i know its been a long time between posts, a lot has happened that was keeping me from writing, three reasons: I got pretty sick for a while, My bosses went away for a week and a half so I was super busy and apart from those two... I have been incredibly slack. I'll give you a quick update on my life in California before I get to the real reason for my post, Its still rainy and crappy weather at the moment so I am totally craving some beach action, I went to see the snow, on a proper snow trip... PHENOMENAL!! my parents are coming over next week, and its also my twenty first in one week. Twenty one years... crikey I'm getting old! SO since its my twenty first I expect that you all send me millions of presents... No excuses, my folks are coming over so you dont even have to pay for postage... seriously its just too easy for ya! Nah, only kidding, but right now, I love life over here, but I really wish everyone else could be hereto celebrate with me, we're having a pirates and princesses party (so cool) and I just want to fly everyone over to party with me! Anyway, I will try and get not so slack with the blog updates, but for now, my boss got a power adaptor so I can finally use my hair straighener... you have no idea how exciteed i am!

Back by demand

Alrighty, i know everyone wants a piece of my blog... so heres a post to at least the most recent or most deserving of a post...
I have done some really neat stuff recently, I went flying the other day (my boss just got his pilots license) it was amazing!

I went into Sonoma with Dianne, which was the cutest little town, so artsy, so sweet, I loved it!

My personal favourite would have been the trip to the snow... OH MY GOSH... IVE SEEN THE SNOW!!! I fulfilled my lifelong dream and wow, was it worth it! So heres the scoop... it was myself, dianne and chris (Ok chris, this part is for you... as requested) and we were sitting at home recovering from a dramatic episode of OC (i would need a freakin handbook to get up to speed with the show!) and then we saw that it was snowing in the hills like 45 minutes away. S I go off on my usual spin on how much I want to see the snow (I feel sorry for the Cali. crew, they must et so sick of me!) and then Chris is like "lets go to the snow... like now" and I just got so excited... me... snow?? HELL YES! Dianne took a little more persuasion, but we hit the road at like 11pm and an hour later, I had seen snow, I was having snowfights, and having chris and dianne shake a tree over my head to create the illusion that it was snowing... I felt like it was snowing, but since its never snowed on me I have nothin to compare it to! I thought it was amazing! I will have to post pictures on this later! And we are hoping to get to Tahoe next weekend where it snows lots... just think, me on skis... God help us all!

Another few things have happened that might vaguely interest a few of my home-ies... I have officially converted one person to Happy Tree Friends... Anyone who knows me well enough will recognize that Happy Tree Friends is a sickening vice that I delight in. I came to the states thinking noone would understand my wierd obsession... but oh no, After watching a few episodes of good ole' Happy Tree friends, Mike was hooked... All my fellow Happy Tree friends addicts from home would be so proud. I am just relieved to have found a friend that is just as warped as myself!

Lastly my tribute to Jay, Jay is my brother, he's 28 (old i know) and I think he's awesome... While I shouldn't say too many nice things (his ego is big enough) I will say that my whole life he did a fantastic job at bullying me... Remember my black (not just bruised, completely black) arm? so Jay, you got your piece... here it is, enjoy your fame... and now...
back to me
because its all about me!

Screwtape...

I have been reading an amazing book, to keep my amazing brain... well... Amazing! Everyone knows how smart I am so it should not surprise you that I choose to read. My current book at the moment is the Screwtape Letters by CS Lewis. It is a collection of letters about how to keep one man in Hell. I am only up to chapter 7 and in my reading, I have been constantly challenged. I wonder what these Demons would write about me? How would they try to steal me away from Heaven, and what weaknesses do I have that I might follow them?
Anyway, Its deep I know, but what can I say, I am a smart one at heart (like duh!)

Speaking of my smartness, the other day I was doing my washing and I usually use a pre-spray on my clothes... so there I am, spraying away. and Shireen my boss walks in and says "Oh you dont want to use that Te-Neele, Thats carpet cleaner"

Catch up...

Hello there... big shout-outs to all friends near and far! I hope that you are all doing well and that God is Rockin' out in your life... I know he sure is in mine! Just thought Id update you all on life in CA. Last week I went to a real rock concert, some of the guys from the church are in a band called American Drag. It was a worthy experience, however my preference would be a lower volume. But despite the headache afterwards, They do know how to play and sing! That same night we had a surprise birthday party for the worship leaders husband, Anthony. I managed to get a few pictures of some of the Santa Rosa crew.

So here's the girls

L-R is Sarah, Danae, Andrea, Me, Dava and Dianne
There are no pictures of the guys as yet, but they are; Chris, Mike and Dustin
All are very cool

So now you know the people, lets get back to me... because really, its all about me!

Ummm, ooh wait, before I get back to myself, let me just talk up some of my friends a little more, because they are just so freakin awesome... Get this... We're watching Pirates of the Caribbean, and I was telling Dianne , Chris and Mike about how I always wanted to have a Pirates and princesses party, and like a few days later they tell me that theyve organized me one for my twenty-first! SHIBBY!! Seriously, I was so wow-ed, how awesome is that??

OK, so now its back to me! I got sick on the weekend (tear, sniff), i think it was one of the worst flu's Ive ever had... And worst of all, I had no mum to take care of me (more tears and sniffles), and then not only could I not see my mum and dad, I couldn't even talk to them (damn the stupid public holiday that meant they could go away... Shake fist). But its ok, I survived. I must admit that I had a little help along the way, I got many messages from pals (yay, my phone is no longer the phone that never rings!) and my bosses rock! They got me a heap of magazines, and juice, and all the little things that just showed that they cared. I felt so speshal!

After a weekend of complete hibernation I ventured out to do a little shopping, got some awesome bargains, and then I worked. Nowadays, work is actually fun, the girls and I really get along! Then I went and saw a movie with one of the guys (yay for getting out!), Match point, I thought it was about tennis, its not! Nah it was a good movie, bizarre, and intense, but decent. The experience made better by the "high quality" movie theatre (or not), and the drunken guy yelling at the movie screen... Ahh, California, so rich in culture! I think we both made a decision never to see anymore movies at Roxy on the Square! It ended up being a great way to finish off a fairly average weekend!

And so here I am today, Monday... I shall leave my blogging now, and come back later, leaving you all in great suspense, because I know how youre all dying to read about me, Right..? RIGHT...?!
PS On saturday I did something very, very bad... I confess... I said "Y'all"
Please dont hate me forever
