stranger things have happened... or not...

So now Im back in Santa Rosa... Travelling adventures ended, back to familiarity... dont worry world I will venture out again, and very VERY soon If i have any say in the matter

Guess what I did today???
I went and got a manicure... though I have never had one before, that was not the craziest part... The craziest part was that I also got a pedicure, yes... I volunteered... moreover... PAID to have someone touch my feet! At first thought I was ok with the idea... I walked so much in paris that my feet were all horrible and blistery and sore... but when he actually started touching my feet I started to freak... never actually realized how deep the fear went until he started filing and de-cuticalizing wih all these freaky tools... I buried my face in a magazine and tried to forget that there was some guy fiddling round with my toes... white-knuckled, I was honestly and seriously considering asking if I could get down thee and just do it myself... I was freaking... but I got through and heres the finished result

So, I faced the fear, and realized tht facing your fears will not take the fear away... It just means you were really uncomfortable for a damn good reason... and that I have nice shiny toes...

Can I just take this opportunity to say "go me"

Oh and for those in the know... I know I'll forget to do this later... so here goes
"If I was a guy, I wouldn't have even groped me"... gotta make you laugh

the travellers life

As yall will know in the middle of my trip to london i planned my own little getaway to paris, it was an experience to say the least! here are some highlights and lowlights.

Lowlights
-The heat... I am no longer used to that kind of weather!
-The walking... I had blisters all over my feet, no joke, saturday night i walked for six hours straight to get home... not even to mention the hours spent walking during the day to sight see, I have never walked so much in all my life and boy was i in pain
-The sleazy horrible disgusting french men
-Being followed by one such disgusting filthy sleaze
-Running out of money on day 1
-worrying about how i was going to eat for the remainder of my trip
-Not being able to find Chloe
-Not being able to buy anything
-Struggling to order food at restaurant (wit the language difference)
-France winning a game in the world cup... started out as a highglight, but when the already sleazy horrible guys got drunk, we suffered, they are so gross, it turns my stomach

Highlights
-Being in Paris
-Chloe finding me.. better late than never
-Staying in a backpackers... so much fun
-Meeting a guy called "River"
-The moulin rouge, the best night of my life
-surviving the financial issues, the walking the weather, the men, the language barrier, etc...
-Inventing a new language
-"Boobies"
-Meeting some nice french guys who didnt make me feel like a piece of meat, and bonus, they knew english
-"di"... say no more
-the easiness of the train stations
-the tourist attractions are amazing
-the ability to say "Paris? oh yes, I've been there..." priceless

so Paris is not my favourite city, not by any means, but the things that you go to see (the louvre, the st pauls cathedral, notre dame, etc...) are amazing, so beautiful and breathtaking!

This is one snap of the inside of notre dame... sorry it had terrible lighting so its a bit blurry... nice to know it was made for Jesus, not photography
