My Big Weekend

Ok so wow! I havent been able to post because of login stuff! Or at least that excuse is better than he truth which could be that I was too lazy to blog! ANYWAY... Its monday over here now! and my girls are at school, So i have een kicking back and taking things easy today coz I had a crazy weekend. I drove for the first time in US style on the weekend and man it is tricky. I started with an automatic and my bosses drove with me, thn when I drove by myself i was chucking a lefthand turn (the harder turns... coz you always head for the left lane) and I paid no attention to the van coming straight at me from te other direction... whoops!!! So yeh that was crazy... and all in my bosses luxury honda... But they dont know about that! Nor do they know I accidentally ran two red lights in the kia... as if driving on the wrong side of the road isnt ard enough, I had to do so yesterday in a manual wih no power steering... I shouldnt be expected to pay attention to traffic lights... GOSH! ps. while were on driving in america, you can turn right through red lights providing its safe, and there is no such thing as a speed limit here... american drivers...freakin' idiots!
I went to church yesterday which was good, finally got to meet people... and in response to the questions from al the girls... No, I aven't met any hot guys... but i'm clinging to the hope that I'll run into jude law very soon... You know he has a thing for nannies!!
umm so thats about all i'm going to write for now! But ill try and post some pictures later!
Still miss you all very much!

Last post for today!

Ok lots of posts in one day! I actually tried to do all the photos in one post but the computer wouldn't let me
These are a few shots i got since leaving Perth,
There are photos of this shrine that was in the middle of a shop, the light on the pictures do it no justice... it was incredible.

Singapore also had like this chinatown market, really cool, amazing food there... Singapore is smelly but clean

Photos from before California!

Hiya

Hey there!
Well right now I'm on day 3 in California which is regrettably unsunny! Its different over here, the family i work for are nice, its jst wierd coz I have not been able to see anyone, much less speak to anyone! I am missing al my Perth-ians so much! I spoke to my parents this morning and got clued in on a little goss from camp and can i just say, Greg... well done on getting my mum pied! Its been a long time coming!
Its been pretty crazy, Monday I woke up in Perth, Tuesday I woke up in Singapore, wednesday I was suppossed to wake up in the air between tokyo ad california but since i never went to sleep, I never woke up! Wednesday (... well tuesday since we crossed the international date line) I woke up in Santa rosa, of Sonoma County, of California. I dont really know the day, date or time as I am refusing to chnge my watc from perth time, I dont always understand the accent and strange words like "ketchup"... i mean who would call tomato sauce "ketchup"??? And above all tat I was in singapore (renowned for its great shopping) and the only thing i brought was coldsore cream. AND... in Tokyo it had been snowing, butsince it was only a two hour stop-over i had to stay inside the airport. I was like a kid in a toy store with no money, Snow (which I had only seen once from way up in the sky) was just a ew metres away and I couldn't go beyond the window (I shake my fist at the window that separates me from the snow). The ligt switches are all upside down here, the steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car and the cars are on the wrong side of the road!
BUT
ther ae some great things.. Firstly.. I have no coldsore! Luckily though,my coldsores are only ever tiny bumps... smaller than a pimple... thought you might like to know that!
Secondly... I am yet to be called an "Arsie"... Adam D... You know what I'm on about! For everyone else, try saying "aussie" with an american accent... you get "Arsie"!
They have a massive TV... Michelle-squee, it puts yours to shame! Nah its just a little bigger BUT they have T-vo which is a programme that allows you to fast forward and rewind live tv, and record it to hard drive! its pretty amazing! they also have like a hundred channels, bye to the 6 faithful channels of perth... hello variety of California!
San Francisco is amazing! the scenery is beautiful! I will be visiting there many times for sure but for now I am off, I must go vaccum... with the very cool robot vacuum cleaner which means I sit on the couch and watch tv while the robot thing cleans the floor... ahh its a tough life!
Love you all stacks
In memory of my great friend Jordan... Ciao
